Ex-Microsoft executive Shamik Basu joins Adobe as India VP

New Delhi: Adobe has appointed Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India, reinforcing its focus on local innovation and leadership. Based in Noida, Basu will lead Adobe India’s engineering and product management teams and report to Ely Greenfield. He will also join the company’s India leadership team, driving growth and innovation in a key market.
Calling India a priority, Greenfield said the country plays a critical role in advancing intelligent, creator-first experiences at scale, including work across design, imaging, video and AI-led initiatives like Firefly. Basu said he looks forward to building next-generation creative technologies as AI reshapes the industry. In his role, he will collaborate with global teams on major products such as Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, among others.
